Sabres Rec Hockey
The Southern Maryland Sabres Hockey Club recreational program is designed to provide hockey players an opportunity to learn and develop skills in a team setting. The recreational program is also designed to assure equal opportunity to participate for all skill levels. Players of all skill levels are welcome. No tryouts required.The Sabres have adopted the USA Hockey American Development Model (ADM). The ADM provides age-appropriate guidelines and curriculum to hockey associations across America to help more kids play, love and excel in hockey. For the Mite program, we promote the integration of cross-ice practices and games into youth hockey, raising the level of creativity among players, increasing player participation, and creating a positive environmentThese teams participate in the Capital Corridor Hockey League (CCHL). The league is part of the Southeastern District of USA Hockey. Ages
Players turning 9 to 18 this calendar year.
When
Program starts in mid September and goes to the end of February.
Where
Practices and home games take place at the Capital Clubhouse
Practices
2 practices per week
Games
These teams participate in the Capital Corridor Hockey League (CCHL) and will play approximately 16 games per season (8 home and 8 away)
Jerseys
Players will need to purchase jerseys
